AMAZING!!

Who watched the Japan rugby team at the RWC?? It was quite a show, wasn’t it? I watched some and watched some highlights. Our team upset the South Africa team. What a shocker!! Ayumu Goromaru showed Japan that rugby was an amazing sport and that it was full of challenges and excitement. I have heard from many people that they are now fascinated by rugby and want their kids to join. This is because Ayumu Goromaru captured the hearts of the people. He is not only serious and focused, but also strong and energetic. Way to go boys!   Last time I asked you about these time expressions: ago […]

Please take it easy, enjoy and spend some time doing something special.   See you next week!

What has been done?

Hi everyone, It has been INCREDIBLY wet and the rain does not seem to be wanting to stop. The northern Kanto area has received torrential rain and many people have been evacuated to safety. As I watch the news reports I can not help but think of the many friends I have who live in Saitama, Gunma, Tochigi and Ibaraki. Rivers bursting their banks and flooding towns. People being lifted to safety by helicopter. Water is such a powerful and dangerous thing. Take care everyone!!   Last week, I asked you about some singular and plural forms that are irregular. Did you get them????? Here are the answers!   […]

KYOKO will be working from […]

One….two….three!

The last week of August. That means that not only is it the end of the summer and the autumn will begin shortly, but also that most of the school children are racing to finish their summer homework. In Canada, we do not have summer homework. It is SUMMER and that means it is a HOLIDAY. Holidays are for relaxing, enjoying and doing things with friends and family. As my father was a high school teacher, when I was growing up the last day of school meant that we had to pack for the summer. We headed off to the cottage for 4 weeks of swimming, fishing, napping and […]

What goes with what??????

August…… the month we wait for because it is SUMMER and the month we dread because it is SUMMER!!! The heat this year has been terribly bad. High 30’s and even 40 degrees. Well, it is summer so get out and enjoy it. I enjoy it a few times a week. When I go to the gym I walk there. It is good exercise and a great warm-up to get the blood flowing. Needless to say carrying the ten 2 litre bottles of water I need on my back is also good exercise. Maybe not 10…. Last week I asked you to explain the differences between the […]
